We have lost a real life hero named Sarwar Hossain aged 28 was a pick up driver, he was rescued 2 boys from canal but drown himself...respect and salute to him..hope his soul get peace...government should recognize him for his outstanding life saving great work...
খালের পানিতে ডুবে যাওয়ার সময় দুই যুবক আর্তচিত্কার দেন। খালের কোমর সমান পানিতে তাদেরই কয়েকজন বন্ধু গোসল করার সময় সেদৃশ্য দেখলেও কেউ এগিয়ে যাননি। এ সময় খালের পাড়ে এক ব্যক্তি একটি পিকআপ গাড়ি পানি দিয়ে পরিষ্কার করছিলেন। যুবকদের চিত্কার শুনে তিনি পানিতে ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়েন। ওই দুই যুবককে তিনি উদ্ধার করে খাল পাড়ে আনেন। এরপর তাদের ফুটবলটি উদ্ধার করতে যান। ফুটবল উদ্ধার করতে গিয়ে তিনি নিখোঁজ হন। প্রায় চার ঘন্টা পর ফায়ার সার্ভিস তার লাশ উদ্ধার করে। তার নাম সারোয়ার হোসেন (২৮)।
সোমবার দুপুরে বাড্ডার পাঁচখোলা খালের ৩ নম্বর বেরাইদ ব্রিজের কাছে এ মর্মান্তিক ঘটনা ঘটে। (August 16, 2016)
Sarwar's body was recovered around 4:55pm by the divers team of Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Inspector Merron Miah of Baridhara Fire Station, who led the
six-member diver team, said they found the body about 100 yards away
from the spot.
He said the depth of the canal where Sarwar drowned was about seven
to eight feet but the place from where the body was found was 20 feet
deep.
The body was handed over to his relatives.
Abdul Jalil, officer-in-charge of Badda Police Station, said apart
from driving the pickup, Sarwar also worked at a shop in Gulshan. He
used to live with his relatives in Natun Bazar of Dhaka.
